Much of our Alaskan Cuisine starts right here, from the earth and the soil on our property. Our small garden and two green houses, along with a couple of strategically located herb gardens, supplement your meals throughout the day. Fresh Dill in breads or accenting salmon fillets, parsley, chives, basil and oregano all help contribute to the meal’s freshness. A variety of lettuce, kale, swiss chard and pok choy combine in crisp salads. Later in the year, fresh cherry tomatoes can be picked and potatoes beds are tilled and harvested. More obvious is the variety of flowers growing here and there, some planted and tended with love, others are growing naturally and wild; all brimming with color as they enjoy Alaska’s short but radiant growing season.
Hospitality personified! Beautiful scenery-best sunny weather. Food-yum! Fishing superb! Words cannot express the magical vacation we have had.
