A do-it-yourself setting in remote Alaska is often a very rustic, extreme adventure with all the frills of an outhouse, splitting firewood and hauling water. New for 2010, we have decided to offer a very special cabin on the edge of our property for those of you interested in an independent experience, while still enjoying the modern conveniences necessary to focus your time on the land and sea around us.
Our Independent Chalet is complete with furnished living room, outfitted kitchen, bathroom (with flush toilet and hot water shower), and cozy loft bedroom with queen sized bed. It is equipped with a quiet and warm thermostatically controlled Toyo heater, as well as a glass fronted fireplace. It is completely self sufficient with one of the nicest views of any building here on Raspberry, and is the perfect retreat for a single traveler, couple, or small family.
Guests will enjoy twenty-four hour electricity provided by our hydroelectric plant, wireless internet, independent, unguided use of our sea kayaks and gear, and a point in the right direction if you are interested in a hike up the mountain or along the beach. This cabin and package have been set up to offer you a private, independent experience, separate from the typical guided activities and features we offer in our lodge packages.

Note: please understand that based on expected demand for the Independent Chalet the minimum reservation will be three nights and the maximum reservation will be fourteen days. Arrival times will be between 2 and 4 PM, while departure times will be between 9 and 11am.
